Introduction
The fashion industry is filled with brands focusing on everything other than their product. An emphasis on their ability to market a brand, without focusing on the fundamentals to ensure a viable and long-lasting brand is being built.
The issue is that for a lot of start-up brands, funding and MOQs are an unavoidable issue - they simply don't have access to the best factories, workmanship, fabrics and embellishment techniques.
So we created a wholesale brand; UNBND Blanks.
We noticed a demand for high-quality, heavyweight and oversized products to be manufactured and then stocked as wholesale blanks for brands to utlise as a base product for collections. Utilising our experience, network and brand, we put a plan together and built UNBND over the course of 12 months from mid-2020 to the middle of 2021 before successfully launching in Q3 of 2021.
Our Approach
When UNBND Blanks set out to disrupt the wholesale apparel space, they needed more than just garments - they needed a partner who could help bring a data-led, high-performance product line to life.
At Onflair, we collaborated closely with the UNBND team to translate over 3,000 data points into real-world, premium garments. From silhouette development and sizing to fabric sourcing, fit testing, and factory placement - we managed the full development and production journey from the ground up.
Our role was to ensure the product didn’t just look good on paper, but performed flawlessly at scale. With quality, consistency, and scalability at the heart of every decision, UNBND Blanks is now one of the few wholesale solutions on the market offering true retail-grade garments - ready for brands to customise, launch, and grow.
Product Manufacturing
To bring UNBND’s premium vision to life, we managed the entire manufacturing process - from initial sampling through to bulk production.
Drawing on our trusted supplier network, we sourced heavyweight fabrics, custom dye finishes, and premium trims to meet retail-grade standards. Every detail was developed to perform: from oversized silhouettes and luxury hand-feel, to consistent sizing and flawless stitching.
Our long-standing factory relationships allowed us to streamline production, reduce lead times, and uphold strict quality control across multiple SKUs. With stock now held in the UK and custom production capabilities in place, UNBND is equipped to serve brands at scale - without compromising on quality.
The result
UNBND Blanks launched with an impressive 180 SKUs - a scale made possible by our streamlined development process and close factory partnerships.
Within the first 3 months, the brand generated £48,000 in sales organically, with zero spend on paid marketing - a testament to the strength of both product and positioning.
Operationally, the results speak for themselves:
Over 3,000 units sold with a 0% defect rate
0% return rate from wholesale customers
Sub-1% return rate on retail orders
By building quality into every stage of production, UNBND was able to launch not just fast - but flawlessly.
